EnableAll vs ZoneResult Enable?

EnableAll vs ZoneResult Enable?

Postby metal450 » Wed Jan 11, 2017 8:45 am

A bit of a trivial question, but just to make sure I understood correctly: in the EnableAll & DisableAll zones, there are corresponding rules called EnableAll & DisableAll. It seems like those zones would behave the same with or without those rules though, as a result of "Zone Result = Enable" & "Zone Result = Disable." I just wanted to confirm if those rules are redundant, aka the zones would behave the same if they were removed - or if there's a reason they should be included there, in addition to the Zone Result?

Thanks! :)

If Setttings/AllApps is empty and no Domains/BelowApps rules exist, the behavior will be the same.
However Setttings/AllApps and Domains/BelowApps can override ZoneResult, but not an evidently specified rule.
Please review the Rules Precedence for the details.
