LiveUpdate (Symantec) is blocked.

LiveUpdate (Symantec) is blocked.

Postby darkrats » Sat Nov 16, 2013 10:06 pm

I have installed Symantec Endpoint Protection with LiveUpdate (Windows XP).

Your firewall is blocking LiveUpdate.

LiveUpdate COM Module is Enabled.
Symantec User Session is Enabled.

I tried adding other components but probably missing the right one.

Any suggestions?

We would need the blocked.log file (of the installation folder) of the Plus version.
If you have the Free version we need blocked notifications balloon (as screenshots, for instance). The notifications are shown right after the block has been made.

If the firewall blocks, it generates the blocked events.
Basing on the events we can suggest the right permissions.
