The latest Betas/Releases

The fix affects all the systems.
The problem was just noticeable on Win10 only and looks very update level specific as well.

Update of Plus from 8.2.0.25 to 8.2.0.29 went flawless but triggered an false alarm in Avast! Antivirus, I already sent it to the virus lab to exclude it.
The Windows10FirewallControlPlus-Setup.exe and the Windows10FirewallControl.exe were recognized.

On virustotal.com only Avast and Qihoo-360 recognized anything:

I can say that Avast actually is very restrictive/paranoid but it's not too much that it breaks my workflow.

Thank you for reporting. Actually the AV detection is unpredictable and completely fuzzy (from our point) process.
For instance, Network/Cloud Edition (The Plus successor) is not detected by Avast and Qihoo-360 at all.
All the rest products are not detected as well (including Plus portable)
https://virustotal.com/en/file/ee584150 ... 490806362/ (Basic)
https://virustotal.com/en/file/fea46124 ... 490806396/ (Free)
https://virustotal.com/en/file/93e0b7d3 ... 490806422/ (Plus portable)
https://virustotal.com/en/file/931af149 ... 490806451/ (Free portable)
https://virustotal.com/en/file/67141b3b ... 490806461/ (Network/Cloud)

We will try to report false positive to Avast and Qihoo-360

Needless to say that our products do not contain any third party inclusions beyond the evidently declared functionality.
In connection with viristotal.com, looks like the resource loses its reliability. Some files can't be even uploaded to the site. The site just shows "can't upload" error.
Contacting the support does not help (the support asks for the files size, in spite of the problem causing files were evidently attached to the support request).

The previous history of AV checking was curious enough. For instance a “suspect” was detected in Plus (English), but everything was perfect in Plus (German) of the same version. Obviously the difference was in the language dependent labels only.

MalwareBytes likes your software just fine.

The 8.2.0.29 install went very smoothly on all systems except my server, which only gets "released" code and is still running 8.1.0.17.

To be honest I've not had a problem with any of your beta versions in a long, long time, and I'm considering going ahead and updating my server as well after a few days testing.

Thank you for your work to continue to make the firewall better and better.

FYI: One week of solid running after having installed 8.2.0.29 on my critical server (running Win 7) and it's been 100% reliable and functional. Thank you for making even your beta software so reliable.

For 6 or 7 weeks I've been on 8.2.0.25 installed on top of .22.
It just sits there and does the job for me. Considering that it's beta or RC, I too want to thank you for not crashing my one and only windows 10 (no sandbox to play in here).

I see that I'm behind in versions, but considering that windows will be pushing another huge bunch of changes, I'm not sure I want to have to deal with two things at the same time. I don't expect trouble on the firewall end, but you never know what M$ will do.

@NoelC - MalwareBytes antimalware v2 (don't know about v3), Malwarebytes antiexploit, and NoVirusThanks antiexecutable also like this firewall.

You did forget the most used antimalware: Windows Defender also like this firewall; even the build in microsoft firewall likes it

Ha! You got me. I did forget defender. Remembered later and didn't feel like editing here :)
What's really cool is nothing extra in Sphinx, just the pure firewall. To date, no conflicts with stuff like antiexploit or antiexecutable.
